A figure below 30:1 suggests that the headline probably needs work because it doesn’t have enough curiosity or interest to convince readers to click further. If these values are high, you need to investigate what else is attracting people by using other methods of tracking your visitors, such as Google Analytics .
The last two rows show how many people clicked on a link within 8 or fewer seconds after seeing a ‘atom’ heading appear. These are for links within the atom headings themselves – which means they aren’t counted when you look at changes in page rank or visitors from search engines (they’re also not included in CTR).
A good headline encourages more people to click and read the whole article so they can learn more – but only up to a point. If many people are clicking on your headline and then deciding not to go any further, you might want to reconsider the headline or even make it better!
